The Monkey King 3: Kingdom of Women (2018) is a Chinese mandarin action adventure fantasy movie based on the classic novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en, following Tang Sanzang (Feng Shaofeng) adventure and his three proteges head into Xi Liang nation, a territory where only female live in the country, known as Women’s Country. It’s the third installment of the Monkey King franchise, after The Monkey King (2014) and The Monkey King 2 (2016).
At Xi Liang they meet the ruler of the country (Zhao Liying). On Sun Wukong (Aaron Kwok)’s suggestion, Tang Sanzang pretends to marry the ruler and lies that his three students will go to fetch the scriptures in place of him. Later, he pretends to see his students off and escapes with Sun Wukong’s help when the four of them are safely outside the city.

The story takes place in an ancient Chinese world where humans and monsters exist side by side. In the original film, hapless Wuba, a baby monster born to be king, is forced to assume a central role in stopping an all-out monster civil war. It’s a sequel to 2015’s Monster Hunt.

Viy 2: Journey to China (2018) is a Chinese English Russian adventure fantasy movie follows the continuing exploits of cartographer Jonathan Green as he undertakes a scientific and supernatural journey that leads him from England to China, set in the 18th century. It is the sequel to Viy, the 2014 cinema hit loosely based on the Nikolai Gogol story – Viy.
The journey started when Jonathan Green receives from Peter the Great an order to map the Russian Far East. Once again he sets out for a long journey full of incredible adventures that will eventually lead him to China. The cartographer will unexpectedly face a lot of breathtaking discoveries, encounter bizarre creatures, meet with Chinese princesses, and confront deadly martial arts masters and even the king of all dragons – the Dragon King.
