Before she passed away, she promised that she would be back on a rainy day one year later. And one year later, Soo-A appears again, but she does not remember anything.

The death of his wife Soo-A (Son Ye-Jin) leaves a deep sorrow for Woo-Jin and his 6-year-old son Ji-Ho. Woo-Jin sometimes fainted, and worried that his health would endanger the happiness of his dead wife. While Ji-Ho, after hearing his relatives speculated that her own childbirth was endangering Soo-A’s health, and blamed herself for her mother’s death. But Soo-A had left Ji-Ho a picture book; in the book, Soo-A departs for a celestial body she calls “the Archive Star” but reappears during the following year’s rainy season; turning the pages, Ji-Ho eagerly awaits her return.
On a walk in the forest outside their house, Woo-Jin and Ji-Ho find a woman sheltered from the rain, and immediately accept her as Soo-A. She has no memory or sense of identity; she comes home to live with the father and son anyway. Then Soo-A asks Woo-Jin about they met and fell in love, and he recounts a tale of years of missed chances, beginning in high school and ending when she encouraged their marriage years later. As the rainy season draws to a close, Ji-Ho discovers the “time capsule” he hid with his mother before her death. Soo-A’s diary is inside, and its version of the Woo-Jin-Soo-A romance holds the answers to the mystery.

Set during the Korean War, Rho Ki-Soo (Do Kyung-Soo) is young North Korean soldier held in the Geoje POW Camp in South Korea. He falls in love with tap dancing. Filming begins October 18, 2017 at a set in Samcheok, Gangwon Province, South Korea.
